Pool Party Reservations
Pool Birthday Parties
We are working to secure staffing for the summer months. Once we have staff, we will re-open pool parties reservations for the summer on a limited basis. Additionally, there will be changes to our pricing model to simplify the reservation process. We hope to have pool parties available in the next 2-3 weeks.
We are now accepting pool party reservations until May 7th. You may call the front desk of the Recreation & Wellness Center at 606-783-2083 to check availability.
Parties may be scheduled on Saturdays during the following times: 2-4pm; 4:15-6:15pm; or 6:30-8:30pm
Reservation time Includes set-up, take down, swimming and cake/presents. Groups cannot come earlier then their allotted time slot and must be cleaned up and ready to go at the end of their reservation time or a fee of $50 will be assessed.
2 hour rental (base rate) for 30 people or less in the water - includes 2 lifeguards - $150
Extra guard requested or needed (more than 30 swimmers; maximum 45) - $25
Zipline - $65
Excessive Clean up fee- $50
The excessive clean up will be assessed if the classroom/facility is not clean and ready in time for the following pool party.
Any damage to the facility or equipment will be billed to the person who paid for the pool party. The Assistant Director of Facilities and Aquatics will provide an invoice once all damage has been assessed.
Policies and Procedures
Reservations must be scheduled at least 1 week before the anticipated party date. All registration procedures and payment must be completed before the reservation will be confirmed.
Swimming will occur for the first 1.5 hours and the last half hour will be for cake and presents.
The total rental fee will be required at the time of scheduling.
The RWC staff will determine if a party should be rescheduled due to weather. Those rescheduled times will depend on availability and must be rescheduled within 3 months of the original reservation date.
Rental will include the use of the patio or the wet classroom for cake and presents. Groups will be limited to one or the other. If the patio is requested and the weather is bad, they will be moved into the wet classroom.
The only food that will be allowed in either area will be cake, cupcakes and/or fruit. Pizza, party platters, and other outside catering is not allowed.
The only beverages that will be allowed are punch, soda and/or water.
Decorations must be limited to streamers and balloons (no glitter or silly string). Decorations are not allowed to be hung on any walls or facility equipment including tables and chairs.
The zipline may be included in the amenities used during parties, for an additional $65 fee.
It is recommended that anyone using the zip line be four feet or taller.
We ask that parents/guardians assist children with reaching the zip line if they are too short. Our lifeguard staff will not attempt to pick up/raise anyone to the height where they can reach the zip line.
The patio will be used for entrance and exit. Those participating in the party will not be allowed to use, or be in, any other area of the RWC except the locker rooms.
Guests must observe MSU's tobacco free policy while on all University properties, even outside on patio.
