Foreign Language Lab
Breckinridge 211
Welcome to the language laboratory!
The Foreign Language Laboratory, otherwise known as the “lab”, is located on the second floor of Breckinridge Hall, in room 211. This semester, we have two in-house lab assistants, Joshua Lell and Seth Greer. Both Josh and Seth are here to help you with your Spanish and/or technological needs.
Here, you can access free private tutoring, get help with your homework and course sites, and practice writing, reading, speaking and listening in Spanish. Additionally, Seth has had experience abroad! If you would like to know about his experiences abroad in Mexico, he would be happy to talk about it! You can also come here to meet with your languages study groups; do work on our computers, and access our library of literary, linguistic, cultural, and pedagogical texts!
Foreign Language Lab Hours of Operation
Hello, my name is Josh Lell and I am a Spanish major and tutor here at Morehead State. I started taking Spanish in high school my sophomore year and quickly discovered I had a talent for learning languages. I took all four levels offered in high school and even did an independent study called Spanish V. After taking a placement test before I entered college, I was able to skip over the 100 and 200 levels and went directly into the 300 level courses. While I’m competent in all areas of the language, I’m especially skilled at reading and writing the language. I’m also quite knowledgeable about Spanish grammar and the dreaded verb conjugations. Being able to speak Spanish, or any second language, is an incredibly important skill to have in today’s world. I hope you will enjoy your language studies here with all the wonderful professors and come to appreciate the culture(s) you’re studying. If you need any help, assistance, advice, or anything else with the language, feel free to stop by the lab and talk with me or Seth.
Hello, my name is Seth Greer. I am an Accounting major with a minor in Spanish. I have spent 18 months living in and around Guadalajara, Mexico. It is a beautiful city full of Spanish tradition and excellent food! While there I spent time elsewhere in the state of Jalisco, of Puerto Vallarta. It is located on the beach and welcomes many new visitors. Also, I got to experience where the tequila is made in Mexico in a place that is actually called Tequila, Mexico. I enjoy Mexican culture and can speak and understand Spanish. Right now I work in the language lab in the 2nd flood of Breckenridge, room 211. My schedule is on the door, feel free to come by anytime you have a question or are just interested in learning more about Mexico.
