Bio
Dr. Neeper teaches courses in nineteenth- and twentieth-century American literature that include ENG 422: Studies in American Literature to 1900, ENG 424: Studies in Contemporary American Literature, ENG 495: Major Authors: Melville, ENG 561: American Literary Periods, ENG 563: American Fiction, ENG 619: The American Renaissance, ENG 622: Major Modern American Novelists, ENG 624: American Writers in Perspective, and ENG 666: Contemporary Literature. He has published articles on canon formation, twentieth-century modernists, internet authorship, and distance learning and has presented a number of conference papers on such writers as Silko, McCarthy, Brockden Brown, and Equiano. His current research interests are writers of the American Renaissance and contemporary American fiction.
