Performance is obviously an essential element of any program of performing arts study. The Morehead State University Department of Music, Theatre & Dance hosts over 200 solo, chamber, and large ensemble performances annually by students, faculty, and guest artists as well as a full season of theatre and dance productions...[much more].
The performances of students also serve an educational purpose. Large ensemble concerts, in addition to being artistic performances, also represent a culmination of skills and techniques that are continuously developed through teaching activities in the various ensemble classes within the Department of Music. The MSU Department of Music, Theatre & Dance also hosts numerous educational clinics and special events including its annual Band Clinic and Choral Festival as well as many Kentucky Music Educators Association sanctioned events.
