DANCE

Explore the diverse world of dance with us. Develop the imaginative, critical and technical skills essential to a career in dance. The dance minor, designed for both technical and non-technical dancers, gives you a strong foundation in dance technique, history, composition and performance.  Click here for more information About Us.

Learn a wide array of popular dance forms, including modern, tap, jazz, ballet, improvisation, African, hip-hop and more. Learn from guest artists through MSU’s Artist-in-Residency program where instructors from professional dance companies will conduct workshops and master classes.

This program provides a foundation for your career as a professional dancer, artistic director, educator, critic, choreographer, rehearsal director or as an administrative professional for dance companies. You will find our alumni continuing their education by pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degrees in dance, participating in the American Dance Festival and performing with professional dance companies.  For more information about our Academic Programs, click here.
