The overall goal of Morehead State University's Department of Communication, Media, and Leadership Studies is the academic and professional training of students. We are dedicated to cultivating an open, creative environment where students learn from professionals and educators as they explore the nature of the communicative and aesthetic experience and gain a deeper understanding of the human experience. It is the job of our faculty and staff to help our students be as prepared as possible to enter today's fast paced technology driven workplace. 

We have a long tradition of excellence.....which shows in the success of our graduates. Our alumni are among the most successful educators, journalists, public relations officers, advertising agents, broadcasters, and communication consultants in Kentucky, the region, and the nation.

Our Alumni and Friends are very crucial to continued growth of the Department of Communication, Media, and Leadership Studies in the areas of development and support. Our Alumni and Friends show a high level of dedication and support by way of attending department sponsored events, by participating in job shadowing programs, by sponsoring internship programs, by giving us the opportunities to visit their schools and work with their students, and through financial commitment.
