Students (Full and Part Time) GOOD NEWS!!!  If you have a CampusCash balance on your old EagleCard ID we can transfer the funds to your new EagleCard ID BeakerBUCKs account.  Anytime after you receive your new ID, bring both ID's to the EagleCard Office where we can transfer the funds.

Perhaps the most visible change during this implementation process will be the redesign and replacement of some 12,000 EagleCards held by students, faculty, and staff.  Due to the timeline of the installation of new equipment and database programming the following categories and guide lines will be used to determine the production of the new student EagleCards in advance.  Please read carefully.

Recarding Event:  The event will be broken into three categories for students.

Student Category 1:  Returning and new residential students who have advance registered for the fall 2008 term, have a photo on file, and have a room assignment by August 6th will receive their new EagleCard with their housing packets when they check in to their assigned residence hall.

Student Category 2:  Returning and new non-traditional and commuter students that have advance registered for the fall 2008 term and have a photo on file may pick up their new EagleCard at the centralized recarding event located in the ADUC lobby/EagleCard Office beginning August 11th.
Tentative hours for ADUC "Get Carded" event for commuters:
          Aug. 11th - 13th, 8am to 5pm
          Aug. 14th - 15th, 8am to 6pm
          Aug. 16th, Sat., 9am to 2pm
          Aug. 18th - 20th, 8am to 6pm
          Aug. 21st - ??, normal office hours, 8am to 4:30pm

Student Category 3:  Returning students at the Regional Campus Centers can submit their order for their new EagleCard at their center.  The center will submit the order to the EagleCard Office and the ID will be sent with the current photo.  New student carding will not change.  Students may have their photo taken at the center, the order submitted and the ID sent to the center for distribution.

Students that have not taken a photo will not have an EagleCard ID preprinted and will follow the standard issue policies for students.  These students will need to bring a copy of their class schedule with MSU ID# and an official form of ID to the EagleCard Office in ADUC, room 107 to have their EagleCard ID photo taken and/or ID made after August 1st.

Recarding Event:  Guidelines used for preprinting EagleCard ID's for students.

  • Only students who have registered for the fall 2008 term and currently have a photo on file will have a new pre-activated EagleCard produced in advance for the recarding event to take place at the start of the fall 2008 term.  NEW EAGLECARDS WILL NOT BE MAILED.
  • Students who register for classes after August 1st will not be guaranteed to have a new EagleCard premade and may be required to come to the EagleCard Office in ADUC to have a new ID made and activated.
  • Summer 2 students who are also registered for fall classes and who have a photo on file will now be included in the mass student recarding event to occur beginning August 11th and not with the Employee recarding event to start July 23rd.  Please see categories listed above for residential and commuter status.  This decision was made based not only on the impact to the students but also on the numerous student services across campus that are affected by the EagleCard. Current services that are still utilizing the current EagleCards are the Camden Carrol Library, the multiple student print labs across campus and all of the residence halls.  We are sorry for any confusion this may cause.  If there are any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Current EagleCard ID’s will no longer be valid beginning with the fall 2008 term.  Every effort will be made to have primary components live and utilizing the new system and new EagleCards beginning July 23rd for employees.  Locations and services utilizing the new technology will be coming online continuously throughout July and August.  Employees who have the new EagleCard will have the option of using cash/coin at these locations until the implementation is complete.  Please keep checking the location link to the left to view the status of all reader locations.
