6 p.m. From the Earth to the Universe (Star Theater, Space Science Center)
The night sky, both beautiful and mysterious, has been the subject of campfire stories, ancient myths and awe for as long as there have been people. A desire to comprehend the universe may well be humanity’s oldest shared intellectual experience. Yet only recently have we truly begun to grasp our place in the vast cosmos. To learn about this journey of celestial discovery, from the theories of the ancient Greek astronomers to today’s grandest telescopes, we invite you to experience From Earth to the Universe. Produced by: Theofanis Matsopoulos & European Southern Observatory (ESO). For more information, contact Eric Thomas at 606-783-9593.

7 p.m. Cosmic Journey (Star Theater, Space Science Center)
Cosmic Journey uses images from NASA's great observatories to tell the story of the universe from a uniquely human perspective. Drift through images from the Hubble Space Telescope and other NASA great observatories as Cosmic Journey takes you on a full dome experience like no other. Narrated by Astrophysicist Stacy Palen. For more information, contact Eric Thomas at 606-783-9593.

8 p.m. Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon (Star Theater, Space Science Center)
Based on Pink Floyd’s 1973 album of humanitarian, political and philosophical empathy, Dark Side of the Moon offers a mixture of psychedelic, rock and jazz sounds. Its sonic backdrops and atmospheric soundscapes combined with a unique assortment of sound effects yield an emotional resonance. When accompanied by a diverse and unusual display of laser art, the overall feel is a dramatic and haunting atmosphere. For more information, contact Eric Thomas at 606-783-9593.
