Applying for Financial Aid
Before students will be considered for financial aid, they must complete and submit all the required forms. These forms are available at MSU's Office of Financial Aid:
Step 1 - Complete the FAFSA
Each year, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Renewal FAFSA. Go to fafsa.ed.gov to complete FAFSA on-line.
It is important that you read the instructions before completing your FAFSA because the instructions should answer most of your questions. If, after reading the instructions that accompany the FAFSA, you need help completing your form, there are several places you can contact to receive assistance. You can call 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243), consult your high school guidance counselor, or contact the Office of Enrollment Services.

Step 2 - Complete the MSU's Personal Data Sheet
MSU's Personal Data Sheet (will be sent by the Office of Enrollment Services when the results of your FAFSA are received and reviewed. Once the student's file is complete, the Office of Enrollment Services will put together a financial aid package for them based on their eligibility and requests. You may obtain the PDS online by clicking here for a .pdf version that you can print, complete and mail to Office of Enrollment Services, 100 Admissions Center, MSU, Morehead, KY 40351.
IF YOU ARE APPLYING FOR AID FOR SUMMER 2009
To apply for financial aid for Summer 2009, you will need to have completed the 2008-2009 FAFSA by June 30, 2009. If you have not completed this, you may do so online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
You must also complete the Summer Personal Data Sheet. You may obtain a copy online by clicking here for a .pdf version that you can print, complete and mail to Office of Enrollment Services, 100 Admissions Center, MSU, Morehead, KY 40351 or bring in and drop off to our office.
