Social Studies

The Area of Concentration in Social Studies is offered by Department of Geography, Government and History in collaboration with the College of Education. The program will prepare you for Kentucky certification to teach history, political science, geography, or economics in grades 8 to 12.

If you would like to become a high school Social Studies teacher, you must apply for admission to the Teacher Education Program during your sophomore year.
