Our History, Philosophy, and Religion faculty hold Ph.D.s in their respective disciplines; and all the Legal Studies and Paralegal Studies faculty have law degrees. They are known for their small classes, their use of active learning methods, and their engaging students in career-oriented activities outside the classroom.

Our faculty offer degree programs in History, Philosophy, Religion, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, and Social Studies. They also teach in the MSU Honors Program and in three interdisciplinary programs:Appalachian Studies, International Studies, and Women’s Studies.

Our faculty are actively involved in service to the eastern Kentucky region and engaged inresearch projects statewide, nationally, and overseas.
