Welcome

***PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT KEEP INFORMATION***

Morehead State University will no longer be accepting new program applicants for the Kentucky Educators Excellence Program. If you have participated in KEEP before and are already enrolled in an eligible degree program, you may continue to apply for the KEEP discount until the Fall 2010 semester deadline of July 15, 2010 after which the program will be discontinued.

Please click here to download the KEEP application.

Morehead State University's KEEP initiative provides a 10 percent discount on the published tuition rate for as many as two courses (six credit hours) per semester of graduate study, including Internet courses, for full-time faculty and staff members of accredited public and private K-12 schools and adult education centers in Kentucky who are enrolled in degree, non-degree or certificate programs recognized for credentialing purposes by the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board. Non-degree programs include Fifth Year and Rank I.KEEP

Also eligible for KEEP are students enrolled in any of MSU's Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) programs, regardless of place of employment.

Qualifications include advance registration for classes and submission of completed application form to the Office of Graduate Programs postmarked no later than July 15 for the fall semester, Dec. 1 for the spring semester and April 1 for summer sessions. (Please note the April 1 deadline is prior to pre-registration.  List the course(s) you intend to register for.)  No exceptions can be made for applications submitted after the deadline.

To receive the KEEP discount, a student must be admitted to a program and enrolled in courses by the first day of the semester. Please apply for all hours you intend to enroll in. No credit will be given for enrolled hours if they were not on the KEEP application. Applicants must have their full-time employment verified by a school official by the same deadlines.

The discount will be applied to eligible applicant accounts approximately one week prior to the beginning of the semester. Tuition and fees must be paid by the start of classes. KEEP participants are limited to two courses per semester, and a total of two courses during the summer. Courses outside the College of Education may be included if required for an education degree, non-degree program or certificate.
