At GradFair, students can:

  • Purchase their cap, gown, and tassel
  • Order class rings
  • Purchase graduation announcements
  • Purchase diploma frames and alumni clothing
  • Speak with staff from the Alumni Center

Caps and Gowns

A cap, gown, and tassel are the official regalia that must be worn at commencement for undergraduate candidates. A cap, gown, tassel, and hood for the respective discipline are the official regalia that must be worn at commencement for graduate candidates. Regalia can be purchased at the University Bookstore. We strongly recommend you purchase your cap and gown early.

Special Needs

Graduates requiring special assistance to participate in the commencement ceremony should speak with Registrar's Office staff immediately following commencement rehearsal.

Guests requiring special accommodation or handicapped seating on the day of the ceremony should plan to arrive at least one hour early to receive assistance.

The university makes arrangements with a professional photographer to take pictures of all graduates as they receive their diploma cover on stage. Students participating in the graduation ceremony will have an opportunity to purchase individual photographs from the photographer. Proofs will be emailed directly to students. There is no obligation to purchase photos.
