MSU Homecoming Parade (Main Street) 6 p.m.

Take part in a long standing Homecoming tradition! Bring the entire family and find a spot along Main Street.  Parade attendees will enjoy floats, balloons and bands, as well as a variety of exciting special entries.

Bounce with Beaker (Kids will be Kids) 7 p.m.

After the parade, join Beaker at Kids will be Kids Bounce House in the Morehead Plaza.  Everyone welcome!  Children and Grandchildren of Active Alumni will receive free admission (Active Alumni membership card must be presented at door).  General admission rates of $6 per child apply for other guests.  Limited admission available due to capacity.   Refreshments available!

Star Theatre Show (Space Science Center) 7 p.m.

Visit MSU’s 110-seat digital theater that projects video and graphics on a 40-foot dome screen using six digital projectors and state-of-the-art surround sound. Show details coming soon!


Nearly Naked Mile Benefit Run (Registration and Starting Line at ADUC) Registration begins at 8 p.m. 

Donate a coat and "run in your skivvies"!  The “Nearly Naked Mile”, presented by the Student Alumni Ambassadors, is a coat drive for families in the Morehead community as well as MSU students. Faculty, staff, students and community members are encouraged to participate donate new or unwanted coats, which will be given to Rowan County Family Resource Center and the MSU Career Services office for distribution.  Clothing is required to participate in the run. Participants can come dressed in costume or comfortable running clothes. Refreshments and plenty of water will be provided.

Blue and Gold Day

Show your MSU pride by wearing Blue and Gold!  By the way, the Alumni Association encourages you to celebrate Blue and Gold day every Friday.  So don’t forget to stock up on your MSU gear at the University Bookstore!

Alumni Association Welcome Table (Adron Doran University Center)

10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Stop by the welcome table and meet YOUR Alumni Association staff.   Check and/or update your alumni information, register for a door prize and pick up the latest alumni gifts. 

Memorial Brick Ceremony (Little Bell Tower Memorial Plaza) 10:30 a.m.

Join the Morehead State community to honor the years of faithful service given by deceased faculty and staff. Former faculty and staff who passed away during the last year will be recognized. The public is invited, and we extend a special invitation to the families and friends of honorees.  To request more information please call 606-783-2033.  Additional information about the memorial Brick Ceremony is available online. 

Homecoming Kickoff Celebration (1st, 2nd and 3rd Floors, ADUC) 5-7 p.m.

Start your homecoming weekend off with a warm welcome from the Alumni Association at the annual Alumni reception. The reception will take place in the Adron Doran University Center.  Attendees can expect much more this year!  The first floor features music and MSU trivia with prizes every 10 minutes.  This fun atmosphere will allow you and your family and friends to have your picture taken with Beaker and mingle with other alumni!  The second floor features a sneak peek at the plans for the new Alumni & Welcome Center and the third floor features complimentary wine and light appetizers. All appetizers and beverages (including beer and wine) are complimentary!  

Homecoming Banquet (Crager Room, ADUC) 7 p.m.

Join us for a special dinner banquet as we honor the 2015 recipient of Founders Award for University Service, recognize the Class of 1965 celebrating 50 years, and induct the newest members of the Alumni and Athletic Halls of Fame.  Advanced reservations are required.  Tickets Price: $25.  To request more information or to RSVP call 877-690-4483 or email

MSU Brew and Gold Official Gathering Spot (Buffalo Wild Wings) 7 p.m.

Mingle with classmates, reconnect, and enjoy all Buffalo Wild Wings has to offer!  An outdoor area with a tent and heaters (if needed) will be open for additional mingling space.  The Alumni Association staff will be onsite offering free Alumni koozies!

Undergraduate Admission Information Session (Location TBA) 9 a.m.

Work with the Office of Enrollment Services to gain extensive advice about the college search and selection process and hear about all the great things MSU has to offer. This event is geared towards alumni with high school-aged children. Presentation and tour of campus will run from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.   Please register in advance by calling Holly Pollock at 606-776-7379.  Location of session will be confirmed during registration.

Are you an employer or recruiter of talented and highly skilled MSU students and alumni? If not, you should be! Meet the Career Center's staff to learn about the talent at MSU and how the Career Center can support your company or organization's recruitment efforts.

Are You LinkedIn? (ADUC) 10:00 a.m.

Career Services wants to help you get connected!  Join us for a workshop on LinkedIn basics and learn how it can help you grow your professional network and be an essential tool in any job search. We’ll review creating a strong profile, using professional and alumni groups for outreach, how to follow companies and individuals, and much more.

Decades Brunch (Crager Room, ADUC) 10 a.m. – Noon

Reconnect with your classmates at the Decades Brunch!  Brunch buffet will begin at 10a.m. followed by special recognition of the guests of honor, the Class of 1965 at 11a.m. The brunch is open to alumni and friends from all decades.  Guests will enjoy tables designated to their era!  Join us for this new event and meet the University President and learn more about what is happening at MSU!   50th Reunion attendees are hosted by the Alumni Association.  General Alumni tickets $5 each.  To request more information or to RSVP call 877-690-4483 or email 

Homecoming Tailgate (Eagle Rally Zone) 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Look for the Big Tent! Stop by to meet and mingle with other alumni, check and/or update your alumni information, register for a door prize and pick up the latest alumni gifts.  FREE FOOD and DRINKS!

Eagle Football (Jayne Stadium) 1 p.m.

Fill the stands at Jayne Stadium and cheer on the Football Eagles as they take on Campbell.  As traditions stand, the presentation of the 2014 Homecoming Court will be announced and the Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned at Halftime.  Tickets to the football game can be at the ticket window at Jayne Stadium on game day.  Advance ticket purchases can be made by calling 877-690-4483 or emailing or by visiting MSU Athletics website at  

Alumni Association Chili Supper (AAC) Immediately after the football game

Join the MSU Alumni Association after the game for a Chili Supper.  This event is free and open to everyone!

MSU Basketball Preview Event (AAC) Tentative 6 p.m.

Get pumped up for Basketball Season at this exciting preview event featuring the MSU Men’s and Women’s basketball teams.  More details coming soon!

Recreation and Wellness Center

Enjoy the state of the art Recreation & Wellness Center for free!  All Homecoming participants will enjoy a complimentary guest pass for the weekend.  Take advantage of this 24 million dollar facility that was 100% student funded. It merges the aquatics, fitness and wellness, and intramural departments. The 100,000 square foot building houses 3 basketball courts, a competition size pool with zipline and vortex, fitness area complete with various types of workout equipment, walking track, racquetball courts, and locker rooms. 

The Kentucky Folk Art Center (102 West First Street)

KFAC houses a permanent collection of nearly 1,400 pieces of self-taught art. KFAC is a cultural, educational and economic development service of Morehead State University.  Admission is free.  Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. 

Eagle Trace Golf Course (1275 Eagle Dr, Morehead)

Eagle Trace is a gently rolling, beautifully wooded public 18 hole golf course designed to challenge the skills of the most seasoned players, yet enjoyable and playable to all golfers. This par 72 course covers a maximum distance of 6,902 yards from the championship tees.  Discounts for Active members of the Alumni Association are available.  Call 606-783-9073 for more details or to book a tee time.

Members of the class of 1965 will be invited to gather in a private area and view memorabilia from their era provided by the Library Special Collections and Archives Department.

Members of the class of 1965 are invited to have a morning coffee hour and view memorabilia from their era provided by the Library Special Collections and Archives Department. 

African American Alumni Reunion


Friday, October 9
African American Alumni Reunion Mix and Mingle and Dinner (Hampton Inn) 6 p.m. – 2 a.m.
Gather with friends at the Hampton Inn! The African American Alumni group will gather in the Conference Room adjacent to the hotel lobby to reminisce and reconnect! A light buffet dinner will be served between 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm for all registered reunion participants.

Tailgate (Eagle Rally Zone – Parking lot near Football Stadium) 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Take this time to meet and greet other alumni celebrating MSU Homecoming. The MSU Alumni Association will provide free food, drinks and door prizes!

Eagle Football (Jayne Stadium) 1 p.m.
A ticket to the Homecoming Football Game vs. Campbell will be provided to all registered reunion participants.

Join the MSU Alumni Association after the football game for a Chili Supper. This event is free and open to all alumni.

African American Alumni Reunion Dance/Party (Club 169 on East Main Street) 8 p.m. – Midnight
The African American Alumni Chapter invites registered reunion attendees to join them for a fun evening dance/party! Happy Hour will be hosted by the Alumni Association from 8 p.m. – 9p.m. Join MSU’s President for complimentary food and drinks during this time! A full cash bar will be available for your convenience from 9 p.m. – Midnight.

Omega Psi Phi celebrating 40th anniversary
