MSU Homecoming Parade (Main Street) 6 p.m.

Take part in a long standing Homecoming tradition! Bring the entire family and find a spot along Main Street.  Parade attendees will enjoy floats, balloons and bands, as well as a variety of exciting special entries. The parade will begin on West Main Street and proceed to the end of Main Street near the AAC. 

Campus and Community organizations are encouraged to participate by entering a float!  Participation in the parade is free.  Prizes will be given for both the student and community organization categories!  1st place awards: $500, 2nd place awards: $250 and 3rd place awards: $100. MSU Soccer vs. Jacksonville State (Jayne Stadium) 7 p.m.

Come cheer on the Morehead State soccer team, after the Homecoming parade, as they take on OVC opponent Jacksonville State at Jayne Stadium at 7 p.m. MSU encourages all fans to wear their favorite Morehead State gear to support the Eagles. For additional information, promotions or tickets, visit

Blue and Gold Day

Show your MSU pride by wearing Blue and Gold!  By the way, the Alumni Association encourages you to celebrate Blue and Gold day every Friday.  So don’t forget to stock up on your MSU gear at the University Bookstore! 

Drive-thru Homecoming Information Station (University Blvd., near the Bell Tower)  10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Cruise to your official starting point for 2016 Homecoming Weekend! Simply pull up to the curb, or into a nearby visitors parking spot, to receive a campus map, parking information, schedule of events and a special gift from the MSU Alumni Association to help show your Eagle pride! 


Memorial Brick Ceremony (Little Bell Tower Memorial Plaza) 10:30 a.m.

Join the Morehead State community to honor the years of faithful service given by deceased faculty and staff. Former faculty and staff who passed away during the last year will be recognized. Career Services Open House (Career Center - 428 University Blvd.) 2-4 p.m.

MSU's got talent. Are you recruiting here yet? If not, you should be! Have cookies and punch with the Career Center's staff while learning more about hiring MSU talent and how the Career Center can help you post jobs, hire an intern or connect on campus. Services are available to alumni job seekers, too. Stop by for resume, interviewing or general job search advice. 


Homecoming Kickoff Celebration (Morehead Conference Center) 5 – 7 p.m.

Start your homecoming weekend off with a warm welcome from the Alumni Association at the annual Alumni reception. Due to campus renovations in the Adron Doran University Center, the reception will take place Morehead Conference Center (111 E. First Street).  A fun atmosphere will feature music and MSU trivia with prizes!  You and your family and friends can have your picture taken with Beaker and mingle with other alumni!  Complimentary beer and wine and light appetizers will be served! Special memorabilia from the class of 1966 celebrating 50 years, the class of 1976 celebrating 40 years and the class of 1993 celebrating 25 years will be displayed during the reception. 

Homecoming Banquet (Morehead Conference Center) 7p.m.

Join us for a special dinner banquet as we honor the 2016 recipient of Founders Award for University Service, recognize reunion classes 1966, 1956 and 1993, and induct the newest members of the Alumni and Athletic Halls of Fame.

MSU Brew and Gold Official Gathering Spot (Buffalo Wild Wings) throughout the evening

Mingle with classmates, reconnect, and enjoy all Buffalo Wild Wings has to offer!  An outdoor area with a tent and heaters (if needed) will be open for additional mingling space.  The Alumni Association staff will be onsite offering free Alumni koozies.

Residence Hall Preview (Andrews Hall) TBA

MSU’s new Residence Hall, named after MSU’s 13th President and First Lady, Wayne D. and Susan H. Andrews is an impressive addition to campus. The MSU Housing Office staff will be in the lobby to greet alumni and friends and provide them with a peak into MSU’s newest campus residence!


Breakfast with Beaker (Back Lobby, AAC) 9:30 a.m.

Decades Brunch (Front Lobby, Academic Athletic Center) 10 a.m.

Reconnect with your classmates at the Decades Brunch!  Brunch buffet will begin at 10a.m. followed by special recognition of our reunion year guests, the Class of 1966, the class of 1976 and the class of 1993.  The brunch is open to alumni and friends from all decades.  Guests will enjoy tables designated to their era!  Meet the University President and learn more about what is happening at MSU!   Tickets $5 each.  To request more information or to RSVP call 877-690-4483 or email 

Homecoming Tailgate (Eagle Rally Zone) 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Look for the Big Tent! Stop by to meet and mingle with other alumni, check and/or update your alumni information, register for a door prize and pick up the latest alumni gifts.  FREE FOOD and DRINKS!

Eagle Football (Jayne Stadium) 1 p.m.

Fill the stands at Jayne Stadium and cheer on the Football Eagles as they take on Marist.  As traditions stand, the presentation of the Homecoming Court will be announced and the Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned at Halftime.  Tickets to the football game can be at the ticket window at Jayne Stadium on game day.  Advance ticket purchases can be made by calling 877-690-4483 or emailing or by visiting MSU Athletics website here.


Alumni Association Chili Supper (AAC) Immediately after the football game

Join the MSU Alumni Association after the game for a Chili Supper.  This event is free and open to everyone!

*Reunion celebrants are hosted at the luncheon and brunch. Guests are welcome for a fee of $10 at the luncheon and $5 at the brunch. 


Cheerleading Alumni Reunion  

Saturday Oct. 15th

MSU Cheerleading Alumni Banquet (Morehead Conference Center). 6 p.m.

Join fellow cheerleading alumni for a cocktail/reception hour beginning a 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7p.m.  The dinner program will include a slideshow.  Immediately following dinner, dancing and cocktails will be enjoyed until 10 p.m. $30 per person until Oct 1st. Price includes dinner and non-alcoholic drinks.

Check in to enjoy the festivities. Check in open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Tailgating prior to alumni game, Sonny Allen Field, 12 -4 p.m. (food provided)

Bring the family and spend the afternoon tailgating prior to the alumni baseball game. Food will be provided. 

Alumni Game Batting Practice, 3 p.m.

If you are participating in the alumni game, batting practice will begin at the field at 3 p.m.

Alumni Game, 4 p.m.

Dust off your cleats and take part in the alumni baseball game at Sonny Allen Field. 

Sunday Oct. 16th

Golf Outing at Eagle Trace Golf Course, 9 a.m. 

Meet up with fellow alums for a round of golf.

The Little Company’s Theatre Performance (Lucille Caudill Little Theatre, Breckinridge Hall) Multiple Performance Times

Einstein's Dreams

A performance piece adapted from the Alan Lightman novel by David Gardiner and Ralf Remshardt. Directed by: Octavia Biggs. Tickets: $10, $5 for seniors and non-MSU students, free with MSU Student ID.  Tickets should be reserved in advance by calling the MSU Theatre Box Office at 606-783-2170.

Recreation and Wellness Center

Enjoy the state of the art Recreation & Wellness Center for free!  All Homecoming participants will enjoy a complimentary guest pass for the weekend.  Take advantage of this 24 million dollar facility that was 100% student funded. It merges the aquatics, fitness and wellness, and intramural departments. The 100,000 square foot building houses 3 basketball courts, a competition size pool with zipline and vortex, fitness area complete with various types of workout equipment, walking track, racquetball courts, and locker rooms.


The Kentucky Folk Art Center (102 West First Street)

KFAC houses a permanent collection of nearly 1,400 pieces of self-taught art. KFAC is a cultural, educational and economic development service of Morehead State University.  Admission is free.  Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.


Eagle Trace Golf Course (1275 Eagle Dr, Morehead)

Eagle Trace is a gently rolling, beautifully wooded public 18 hole golf course designed to challenge the skills of the most seasoned players, yet enjoyable and playable to all golfers. This par 72 course covers a maximum distance of 6,902 yards from the championship tees.  Discounts for Active members of the Alumni Association are available.  Call 606-783-9073 for more details or to book a tee time.
