Dental Insurance
Morehead State University's dental insurance plan is self-insured. The plan is administered by Delta Dental Plans of Kentucky. Two dental plans are available to full-time employees: 1) Delta Premiere (Indemnity) and 2) Delta Preferred (PPO). Delta Preferred is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan that requires utilization of dentists in the Delta Preferred network. The Preferred plan provides coverage for three types of dental services that are not covered under the Premiere plan. They are 1) Orthodontics, 2) Periodontics and 3) Prosthetics. Using a dentist that does not participate in the Delta Preferred network will result in a reduction of benefits.
