The Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE), formerly NAIT, is a national professional organization which promotes industrial technology. MSU's student chapter has students from all IET options. The group fosters learning and socialization.

The Society of Manufacturing Engineers provides services and programs especially designed to help students become more effective members of the manufacturing profession. Member of SME have up-to-date trade publications information, access to the SME database and library, free resume service, and frequent association with students and practicing professionals at the monthly Society 154 meetings in Lexington, KY.

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national trade association headquartered in Arlington Virginia. ABC represents twenty-three thousand merit shop contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers and related firms in seventy-nine chapters across the United States. ABC is devoted exclusively to the advancement of the merit shop construction philosophy, encouraging open competitiion and free-enterprise.
