Welcome to the Home Page for the Department of International and Interdisciplinary Studies!
We are very excited about this new unit, which brings together programs with many natural affinities, and gives us the chance to cooperate more effectively than ever before. Our programs in French, Spanish and Chinese offer students plenty of individual attention, and many opportunities for enhancing their education through study programs overseas. Our interdisciplinary minors in Women's Studies, International Studies, Appalachian Studies, and Canadian Studies draw on the expertise of faculty members from every college on the campus, and again, students have numerous ways of enhancing their learning through overseas study and events outside the classroom.
