Centralization of information is the key to students having the ability to be independent and successful within higher education. MSU has implemented a new technology system used for automation of academic and administrative processes.
Students new to campus should familiarize themselves with each of the below mentioned on-line programs to be assured that key information provided by the University is able to be delivered in a timely manner.
Eagle Account Center
The Eagle Account Center (EAC) is used to initialize e-mail and establish student’s on-line account password. On-line account passwords are maintained and changed through this application. After account initialization, students have the option to permanently forward their MSU e-mail account to a preferred e-mail address and change on-line account passwords within the EAC . E-mail
All students, regardless if they live on or off campus, should routinely check their MSU academic e-mail account. MSU notifications pertaining to administrative processes (e.g., billing and payment information) are sent via e-mail. Instructors use e-mail as well to communicate course related information. Students must initialize their Eagle ID and have a current class schedule entered into the system 24 hours prior to gaining access to e-mail accounts. To determine your MSU e-mail address, log back into the EAC to view your assigned e-mail address.
WebAdvisor
WebAdvisor is a web interface that allows access to information contained in the administrative database used at Morehead State University. WebAdvisor provides students with the ability to view grades, GPA, transcript, class schedule, account summary, financial aid, and other important academic and administrative information online. • Go to www.moreheadstate.edu
• Mouse-over “Current Students” at the top of the page and select “Online Services.”
• Under “Quick Login” select “Datatel WebAdvisor” in the drop down menu.
• This will open the WebAdvisor login page
• Enter your Eagle ID, your 7-digit number preceded by a lowercase “m”. (m0000000)
• Enter your MSU on-line account password – established in the EAC (above)
Blackboard
Morehead State University utilizes Blackboard for online courses. Blackboard is a web-based course management system designed to allow students and faculty to participate in classes delivered online or use online materials and activities to complement face-to-face or ITV teaching. If you registered for an online or Internet course you will need to login to Blackboard. [ Blackboard Login ]
On-Line Account Password Problems
If you have forgotten your MSU on-line account password:
• Go to www.moreheadstate.edu
• Mouse-over “Current Students” at the top of the page and select “Online Services.”
• Click on “Forgot your Password?” on the left side of the page.
• Enter your Eagle ID, your 7-digit number preceded by a lowercase “m”. (m0000000)
• You will be prompted to answer the three questions that you established as part of your Eagle Account Center initialization.
