Morehead State University Police Department is excited to announce the formation of RAD training for female students, faculty and staff members. The RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) is a program that instructs a female on how to avoid and what to do in case of an attempted sexual assault. The class will be an intense three days of training to include classroom and role playing.

The University Police recently had two officers complete the training and are now certified RAD instructors.  The officers completed an intense 30-hour training course at the University of Tennessee.

The program not only prepares the student physically but also mentally for conformations of attempted sexual assaults. It teaches the participant on how to have a survival mind set.

The University police feels that this is one of the most pro-active programs we have brought to the University community

If you have any questions or wish to donate to the program, contact Captain Scot Barker of the University Police at 606-783-2218.
