Friends of KFAC

This is your opportunity to become a Friend of the Kentucky Folk Art Center as we work to preserve and promote the wonderful work of Appalachian Kentucky’s folk artists and other valuable aspects of regional folk life.  If we are to continue to expand KFAC’s services and programming, our Friends’ support is a vital.

We will work with contemporary regional folk artists and crafts people to develop and access new markets for their work.  We will broaden our efforts to preserve irreplaceable, endangered aspects of our region’s folk life.  And we will work to make KFAC a more valuable resource for Kentucky’s teachers and students.

KFAC will continue to build valuable relationships both inside and outside our region.  We will work with the Kentucky Center for Traditional Music and our other local partners to expand and strengthen our special events, like the “Clack Mountain Festival.”  We will continue our partnership with the MSU Caudill College of Humanities to improve opportunites for students of Appalachian Studies.

We can do all of this work, but we need our Friends’ support.  Please join us in our efforts to preserve the most valuable aspects of contemporary and historic Appalachian culture.

For legal and accounting purposes, membership contributions are processed through the MSU Foundation, Morehead State University's fund development arm, but the full amount of all contributions goes to the Kentucky Folk Art Center.  Contributions are income tax deductible except for the $15 value placed on membership benefits.

E-mail Tammy Stone or phone (606) 783-2204 for forms and details, or simply send a check to KFAC, 102 West First Street, Morehead, KY 40351.
