If you are looking for a degree program that combines your love of numbers with preparation for a 21st Century Career, look no further than the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics (MCSP) at MSU. The department offers 14 undergraduate degree programs that span three fields, giving students a broad range of options. Learning Opportunities

You’ll also have the chance to participate in academic research alongside experienced faculty members while you pursue your degree, and there are also a number of internship opportunities available to MCSP students. Students from MSU have interned at dome of the world's mot prestigious research facilities, including the European Organization for Nuclear Research, better known as CERN. The skills you will learn through research projects and internships will give you an edge as you enter the work force. Not only will you have a college degree, you’ll also have the fundamental practical skills employers are looking for in qualified applicants.

Success After Graduation

Students who graduate from MSU's Department of Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics go on to successful, rewarding careers after graduation. MSU graduates have gone on to work for government agencies such as the National Security Administration and the U.S. Department of Defense, and have also entered into some of the most prestigious graduate programs in the country, including Harvard Law School. Students who graduate with a degree in physics with the professional physics option will take pre-engineering classes that will prepare them for professional school to become a licensed professional engineer.

MPATE Exploration Day 

Join MSU's College of Science and Technology for MPATE Exploration Day. The event is designed to give high school juniors and seniors interested in mathematics, computer science, physics, and engineering technology the opportunity to see what MSU has to offer. Preregistration is required by Oct. 31.
