Biography
Pianist and composer Michael Young earned his Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance at Northwestern University and his Master of Music degree in piano at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He performs piano duet/duo recitals with pianist Chia-ling Hsieh. In 2006, he was the accompanist for the MSU Choir tour of Costa Rica. He is currently composing a set of 24 preludes and fugues. Selections from the set have been performed at the 2006 Rising Star Concert Series in Taipei, Taiwan, the 2006 College Music Society Great Lakes Regional Conference, the 2008 Ball State University Festival of New Music, and the 2007 and 2008 MSU Keyboard Festival Monster Concert.
