Biography
Glenn Ginn is presently Assistant Professor of Guitar and Jazz Studies at Morehead State University where he teaches guitar, electric bass and directs the jazz guitar ensemble. Professor Ginn's past teaching experience includes 10 years as Professor of Guitar and Jazz Studies at Minnesota State University Moorhead and several years teaching guitar at both the University of North Texas and the University of Cincinnati.
Professor Ginn holds a masters degree in jazz performance from the University of North Texas and a bachelors degree in jazz and studio music performance from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. He has been a featured soloist in small group settings along side such notable jazz artists as Clark Terry, Gene Harris, Steve Smith, and Gene Bertoncini. Professor Ginn's playing can be heard on Glenn Ginn - Guitar Duets, and Glenn and Lisa Ginn - Swing Street. Both recordings are available at www.cdbaby.com.
