Hornbeck is 2007 Gallaher Winner -- Matthew Hornbeck of Ironton, Ohio, won the 20th annual A. Frank and Bethel C. Gallaher Memorial Music Performance Competition at Morehead State University. The award, presented each spring to a junior music major, includes a $1,000 cash prize and the honor of performing at MSU’s Academic Awards Convocation. [more]

Boston Brass to Present Concert -- The Boston Brass will be presenting a free and open to the public Master in the J.E. President's Spring Concert is April 27 -- This year’s President’s Spring Concert will be a swinging good time.“Swing! Swing! Swing!” promises an evening of big band music and an opportunity to get out and enjoy the spring weather. Students Hit High Notes -- As the judges watched the performances, they knew it would come down to the young man and young woman. The man's was so diverse, the woman's was so technically sound. His smile was incandescent; her introduction marvelous. The other performances were good; theirs were great. [more]
