ABOUT THE ACADEMY
Our Purpose
The Morehead State University Summer Music Academy exists to nurture students developing musicianship in a setting which allows interaction with expert faculty and the opportunity to work with other students who share musical interests. All students will select a course of study appropriate to their individual performing area, but all will receive the same opportunities.
The Academy
The Academy consists of six full days of activities, including: private lessons, master classes, ensemble performance opportunities, music theory instruction, elective courses in class keyboard, jazz improvisation, accelerated music theory, recreation activities, and performances by Morehead State University Department of Music Faculty.
