National Student Nurses' Association
Mission Statement
The NSNA Mission is to: organize, represent and mentor students preparing for initial licensure as registered nurses, as well as those enrolled in baccalaureate completion programs; convey the standards and ethics of the nursing profession; promote development of the skills that students will need as responsible and accountable members of the nursing profession; advocate for high quality health care; advocate for and contribute to advances in nursing education; and develop nursing students who are prepared to lead the profession in the future.

The Student Nurses Association (SNA) Mission at MSU is to:
- Aid the development and growth of the individual student;
- Provide a close bond and unified spirit among students, encourage cooperation between students and faculty;
- Provide a pre-professional organization at the university level and to encourage participation in meetings and activities pertaining to the practice of nursing;
- Prepare for membership and preparation in the professional organization of nurses-the American Nurses' Association (ANA) and its various units;
- Stimulate an interest in and understanding of the programs of the National League for Nursing (NLN) and its various units;
- Serve as a channel of communication of Kentucky Association of Nursing Students (KANS) and the district unit of the ANA;
- Participate as an active constituent of KANS and the National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA) through duly elected officers.
