Morehead State University offers much more access to classes and degree programs online, allowing you to take a few courses or earn a degree through our online programs. When you enroll in one of our online degree programs, you have two advantages — flexibility and support. We strive to make resources available to both on campus and regional campus centers or online learners, whether it is our online bookstore and library services or providing academic and technology support through our information technology department. 

Our online classes utilize various Blackboard features including robust discussion boards, video conferencing, chats, and much more. Optional group projects allow students to reach out to one another via phone, email, chat, wiki, blog, video conference, or shared online development areas to complete assignments collaboratively.

• Accounting

  Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - Accounting option.

• Adult and Higher Education, Education Specialist (EdS)

  The Specialist in Education degree program offers students who have demonstrated superior scholastic ability and special interest and aptitude in certain areas the opportunity to gain a high level of competency in a chosen specialized field for service at the post-secondary level.

• Adult and Higher Education, Master of Arts

  This program is designed to develop the capacity of individuals to plan, organize, and carry through a variety of education and service programs to meet adult learners' needs in postsecondary and adult continuing education institutions. This program is not approved for rank change for public school teachers.

• Canadian Studies Minor

  The International Studies Minor in Canadian Studies begins with Perspectives on Canada, an introductory team taught course, then focuses on advanced courses in Canadian history, government, and economic and social policies from comparative and international perspectives, and concludes with a summer internship in the Canadian Parliament.

• Educational Technology, Master of Arts

  Teachers completing this M.A. program will receive training in the areas of instructional technology and design based on best practices in instructional computer technology. This program will support the efforts of teachers who are interested in integrating technology into their instruction and are interested in providing instructional technology and instructional design leadership.

• Educational Technology, Rank I

  This program is designed to prepare teachers to become instructional leaders in the area of technology integration in P-16 curriculum and instructional design.

• English Graduate Program

  The Masters of Arts in English at Morehead State University offers students a comprehensive overview of advanced literary study as well as courses in creative and technical writing and linguistics. This program is also available completely online.

• Film Studies Minor

  The Film Studies minor is an interdisciplinary program of study designed to give students a theoretical as well as practical knowledge of film.

• General Business

  Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - General Business option.

• Leadership in Medical Imaging - BS in Imaging Sciences

  The Leadership in Medical Imaging Program at Morehead State University is an Area of Concentration in the Imaging Sciences baccalaureate degree program.  The program is offered online and is available to registered practitioners in therapeutic and imaging sciences. This program allows the student to complete the required courses part-time and is planned for the working practitioner who wants to pursue a leadership role in imaging sciences.  Following admission, the student should contact the assigned advisor and file an official check sheet.

• Master of Arts in Social Science

  The Master of Arts in Social Sciences provides an interdisciplinary approach to graduate work in social science. The program is designed with three groups of potential students in mind: service region social studies teachers pursuing a first or second Master’s degree; place-bound students who would like to pursue graduate study for career or personal reasons; and students who will attend law school or pursue doctoral study at other institutions.

  The Master of Arts in Teaching program is an alternative teacher certification program. Completion of MAT results in a Master’s Degree and a Kentucky teaching certification. The program is designed for individuals who have earned an undergraduate degree in a certification content area or closely related field.

• University Studies

  Students can receive an Associate or Bachelors of University Studies degree.   A major, minor, or area of concentration is not required for the Bachelor of University Studies degree. Students may take a wide variety of subjects or concentrate all studies beyond the general education requirements in a single discipline.

• University Studies - Professional Studies

  Students are now able to apply an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degrees from Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) toward the completion of an online Bachelor of University Studies in Professional Studies at MSU.  
  

• Wellness Promotion Graduate Program

  The Wellness Promotion Graduate Degree is an online only degree.
