Planning
Pride & Promise: Morehead State University Strategic Plan 2001-2006 was approved
by the MSU Board of Regents in June 2001. This document represents the University's first
strategic plan revision since the 1997 higher education reform effort of the Governor and
General Assembly and aligns the institution with the Council on Postsecondary Education's
2020 Vision and Action Agenda.
Each academic and administrative department within the University develops a unit plan to
identify how their operating unit will contribute to the goals and objectives defined in the
University Strategic Plan. A unit plan includes a mission statement, goals, and specific objectives
and initiatives with measurable assessment criteria. Results of the annual assessments provide
the basis for changes to the unit plan and provide input for assessing progress toward the
University Strategic Plan.
