One of few in the country, the program gives students an opportunity to be taught by accomplished faculty members who are working writers through studio-oriented creative writing workshops in poetry, fiction and creative non-fiction. Students are provided a solid foundation of literature courses and complete courses in the humanities, the natural and social sciences and world languages.
English majors who pursue the Bachelor of Arts in English degree take course work in literature, linguistics, and writing.
