Psychology is the scientific study of behavior. Psychologists use the principles and methods of science to try to understand why people think, feel, and act the way that they do.

Psychologists also apply the knowledge that psychology has accumulated about human behavior to try to solve practical problems.

The Department of Psychology at Morehead State University offers undergraduate and graduate programs in psychology. Also, the department's faculty members have a wide range of professional and research interests, and there are excellent opportunities for students to get involved in faculty-guided research.
