     Kim Jenkins is a native of Ashland and has been with Morehead State University's Ashland Small Business Development Center since 1993. Her background is in business with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Berea College and a Master's degree in Business Education from Morehead State University. Some of her career highlights include owning and operating a general merchandise retail store and teaching management and marketing courses for MSU's College of Business. She authored an article titled "5 Keys to Smart Advertising" for the Kentucky Small Business Development Center's Business Edge quarterly publication.

MOREHEAD SBDC

     Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in the Daniel Boone National Forest and a short drive from Cave Run Lake, Rowan County is home to Morehead State University and the Morehead SBDC. The Morehead SBDC serves the following counties:  Bath, Bracken, Fleming, Lewis, Mason, Menifee, Montgomery, Morgan, Robertson, and Rowan.

David Barber, Management Consultant

     David Barber joined the Morehead State University's Small Business Development Center located in Morehead in January of 2005. David's background is in business with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Transylvania University in 1983 and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Morehead State University in 1984. Some of his career highlights include teaching management and real estate courses for Morehead State University as an instructor from 1989 through 1997. David has also operated a branch office for a local real estate company located in Owingsville since 1997. David and his wife Sheila, have two sons, Taylor and Jacob.

Mike Morley, District Director & Management Consultant

     Mike Morley is a native of Eastern Kentucky and a graduate of Pikeville College. After college he was an Insurance Agent for five years and served as a Sales Manager for two years. He owned and operated a small retail clothing store with his wife and other family members as well. Mike began his career with the MSU SBDC as General Management Consultant in 1986. He earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration in 1993 from Morehead State University and is a member of the Pikeville Rotary Club and Pike County Chamber of Commerce. Mike is now District Director of the East Kentucky Small Business Development Centers which include six centers located in Ashland, Maysville, Morehead, Paintsville, Pikeville and West Liberty. These centers are strategically located to assist the 25 counties in Eastern Kentucky.
