Scholarship Information
Admission Index
The Admission Index is calculated as follows:
- Multiply your high school GPA by 100.
- Multiply your ACT composite score by 10 (SAT scores will be converted).
- Add your total GPA score and total ACT score.
The sum is your Admission Index.
Financial Aid Package
A student's financial aid package includes grants, scholarships, federal work study, loans and waivers from federal, state, private, or institutional sources.
Other Scholarships
In addition to the general scholarships, there are a limited number of departmental scholarships related to specific disciplines, such as accounting, agriculture, art, journalism, music, regional analysis and public policy, science, speech and theatre. Interested students should contact the academic departments for more information regarding these scholarships.
Also available is a variety of privately-funded scholarships administered by the University with the assistance of the MSU Foundation, Inc.
