What is SGA?
SGA is the Student Government Association of Morehead State University. This organization exists to serve MSU students by providing an outlet to voice concerns to the administration and allows students an opportunity to become involved on campus.

Who is in SGA?
- The Executive Branch consists of six elected officials who serve on the executive committee. Elections for each position are held every spring.
- The Legislative Branch, or Student Congress, includes 48 representatives who are chosen from each class and various organizations throughout the University. Elections for Student Congress are held each fall.
- The Judicial Branch, serves as the Student Court. Its members are appointed by the President and approved by the Student Congress.

Who is eligible to be in SGA?
Executive Officers Qualifications:
All executive officers must be full-time students, maintain at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale while in office, and cannot be on academic or disciplinary probation. Candidates for President must have earned 45 credit hours.
Representative Qualifications:
All representatives must be full-time students, in good social and academic standing with the University and must maintain a 2.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale. A representative must be a member the class he or she represents during the first semester of his or her term of office or a member of the student segment that he or she represents.
