Lynn Geurin LCSW, ABD, University of Kentucky. Lynn Geurin is an Assistant Professor of social work at Morehead State University, and a doctoral candidate at the University of Kentucky, College of Social Work. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Kentucky in 1994. She is licensed as a clinical social worker (LCSW), and serves as a clinical supervisor for social work mental health practitioners. Her research interests are clinical social work, intimate partner violence, and law & social work. Lynn has worked extensively with the Kentucky public defender system on training and evaluation. She teaches and does national presentations on issues related to law and social work. |

Carole Olson - Assistant Professor. Ph.D., University of Kentucky; MSW, University of Denver; BASW, University of Oklahoma; and Graduate Certificate in Gerontology, University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown Center on Aging. Research interests include gerontology education in social work and social work occupational choice. Publications have appeared in the Journal of Evidence-Based Practice, Journal of Gerontological Social Work, and Journal of Teaching in Social Work. Teaching interests include Human Behavior in Social Environment, micro and mezzo practice skills, research methods, and health and aging services. Dr. Olson also has 16 years social work practice experience in health care and public child welfare.

Latonya Hesterberg -Assistant Professor. Dr. Hesterberg graduated from Morehead State University in 1984 with a BSW, received her MSW from the University of Kentucky in 1990, and a PhD in Social Work from the University of Kentucky in December 2004. Areas of research are social work education, child welfare, and family violence. She has a combined 20 years of social work experience as a child protective services worker, administrator, consultant, Cabinet for Health and Family Services Trainer, and professor. Professor Hesterberg also coordinates the Public Child Welfare Certification Program in Prestonsburg and Ashland.

Mary Margaret Just- Associate Professor. Dr. Just served clients at Oklahoma's Department of Human Services and the Kentucky Child Welfare progam as a worker and supervisor beginning in 1970. She earned her MSW at the University of Oklahoma, focusing on the need for in-home/community-based care for older Oklahomans. Dr. Just served as social work consultant for the state-wide Eldercare program from 1982 until she began work on her Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Austin in 1991. Her dissertation explored "Factors that affect the quantity and quality of interactive social support for nursing home residents." She continues to contribute to the Policy text authored by her dissertation chair. Her research and publication since coming to MSU in 2000 has included expanding BSW-level programs to rural areas, keeping Habitat running in rural areas, principles of substance abuse treatment and substance abuse and the elderly. |

Eric Swank-Associate Professor. Ph.D. Ohio State University. Research interests include antiwar activism, welfare reform, media-politics interactions, and racial attitudes. Publications include Research in Social Movements, Conflict, and Change, Journal of Poverty, Research in Higher Education and Journal of Military and Political Sociology, In addition, he has been a special editor for the journal Race, Gender & Class and a participant in People to People's study tour Swedish Social Programs.

Judith Stafford -Associate Professor. Ph.D., The Ohio State University. MSW from Indiana University. Teaching interests - Micro, Mezzo, and Macro skills classes. Research interests - grassroots group community work, oral history of eastern Kentucky social workers and evaluation of the PCWCP program.

Jeannette Groeber, (MSW, University of Ky.) Coordinator of the Social Work Program at the MSU/ Mt. Sterling Campus. Jeannette holds a BSW from Eastern Ky. University and a MSW from Univ. of KY.
