Study Abroad Opportunities at MSU

Study Abroad Scholarships

Experience the World

These are just a few of the places you can study abroad:
There are many excellent study abroad programs available for Morehead State University (MSU) students. Morehead State  is a member of several consortia and has a number of collaborative exchange agreements with foreign universities.   International study experiences include short (summer) or long (semester) programs and internships abroad.  Academic credit is available for most study abroad options.  Financial aid can often be obtained and scholarships may be available with some programs. Also, our International Education Resources page provides links to additional sites with information concerning such things as preparation for travel abroad, travel insurance, travel advisories, health issues, other student abroad options and government resources such as the US State Department and the United Nations home page.

More complete program descriptions and the contact person are highlighted below. You can click on the program title to be directed to the main site for each program or for more information about these and other options, please call Dr. Philip Krummrich at 606-783-2726 or send an email to

The Kentucky Institute for International Studies provides many study abroad programs for students.  The pictures below were taken by students from Morehead State University while on their study abroad journey during the 2013 school year.

"I'm glad that I chose Morehead due to such small class sizes. All of my teachers know me by name and are concerned enough to know their students as people. I can go to any of my professors outside of class and feel comfortable talking to them, even if it's a random encounter at the theatre or coffee shop."
