First Year Seminar

All first-time, incoming freshmen at MSU are required to take a First Year Seminar (FYS) course. Your FYS builds a solid foundation for the rest of your undergraduate coursework, preparing you for your role as a local, national and global citizen.  FYS helps you develop a skillset built through the interdisciplinary exploration of a common regional, national or global theme. You can choose from a wide variety of classes to find an FYS to fit your interests. Download the Fall 2017 FYS Course Descriptions.
