Housing Options

At Morehead State University we offer several different living options to best meet our students' needs. Whether you are living in a two-person traditional residence hall room or a studio apartment, each option presents various amenities and features to ensure student success.

TRADITIONAL RESIDENCE HALLS

Features

  • Most rooms are double occupancy, meaning you'll be sharing a room with one other person.
  • Floors are separated by sex, meaning all people on one floor are either male or female.
  • Facilities staff ensure common areas such as lounges, kitchens, laundry rooms, and bathrooms are cleaned regularly.
  • Each room is equipped with HD digital cable access.
  • Most traditional halls have student staff (Resident Advisors) on every floor to ensure students have access to Housing staff.
  • All mattresses are twin XL.
  • All residence halls have free wireless internet.

SUITE-STYLE HALLS

Features

  • Most rooms are 4-person suites, meaning you'll be sharing a room with three other people.
  • Most floors are not a specific sex, but suites themselves are. In each suite, only same sex roommates may live together.
  • Facilities staff ensure common areas such as lounges, laundry rooms and kitchens are cleaned regularly.
  • Each suite is equipped with an in-room bathroom. One that you're responsible for cleaning.
  • Each suite is equipped with HD digital cable access.
  • Many suite-style halls have student staff (Resident Advisors) on every floor to ensure students have access to Housing staff.

APARTMENT-STYLE LIVING

Features

    Can be a studio, one bedroom, or two bedroom meaning your apartment can hold one, two, or three people respectively.
    Apartment communities and floors within them are not a specific sex but each apartment can only be shared by roommates of the same sex.
    Each apartment is equipped with kitchen amenities and appliances as well as a bathroom.
    Facilities staff ensure common areas such as lounges and laundry rooms are cleaned regularly.

Housing at the University Farm

MSU offers housing to some students of agriculture at the University Farm (Lundergan and Padula halls). Students who are part of the Farm's work program receive a reduced housing rate. For more information, contact farm manager Joe Fraley at 606-783-2802.
