ACT Residual Test

Each entering freshman is required to submit scores from the American College Test (ACT) or alternate test. An applicant may take the ACT Residual for the following reasons:

  • The entering freshman was unable to take the national ACT.
  • The applicant needs a higher ACT score to be admitted.
  • The student needs a higher score to avoid enhanced classes.
  • The student needs a higher score for program admittance.

ACT-R tests conducted on Morehead State University’s campus are ONLY valid at MSU. The fee for the ACT-R is $70.

The ACT Residual may not be taken within 60 days of taking the ACT Assessment through Residual or any other non-national tests on campus. Scores will be cancelled and the test fee will not be refunded.

To register, call the testing center at 606-783-2526 or email with the following information:

  • Your name.
  • Your MSU ID number.
  • Your phone number.
  • The date you wish to take the ACT-R.
