What is an online course?
- MSU's online courses take place via an internet connection to the Blackboard learning management system.
- No physical attendance may be required, however, students may be offered optional meetings and proctored exams.

In most cases, students have access to their online courses on the first day of the semester. Some professors may prefer to make their content available prior to the first day of class.

To access your online course, log into
MyMoreheadState and click the Blackboard icon under "Campus Applications."

If proctored exams are required, how do I request a proctor?
Proctors must be set up by the academic department. Students who cannot come to campus to take a proctored exam may take it at an approved, off-campus site. Off-campus sites may charge testing fees.
Am I required to attend any on-campus meetings?
- Students taking online courses are NOT required to attend any on-campus meetings. Professors may offer optional meetings, but students are NOT penalized for non-attendance.
- Proctored exams may be required, but students may schedule to take the exams at an approved, off-campus location.
