First Aid/CPR/AED Training

The purpose of the American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/ AED course is to explain the emergency medical services (EMS) system, emphasize the need for rapid medical assistance in an emergency and provide instruction on appropriate care for a variety of injuries and sudden illnesses that lay responders may encounter in their workplaces, schools, communities and homes.

  • There are no prerequisites for this course as it is a basic level course.
  • There are no age restrictions for participants wanting to take the course. However, they must be able to demonstrate/perform all the necessary skills required for the course. 
  • All courses must have at least three participants in order to start as scheduled. Additional arrangements will be made if the minimum is not met.
  • Additional offerings can be organized if our schedule does not meet the needs of your group or organization.
  • No refunds are given if the participant does not pass the course.
  • You do not have to have a membership with the RWC to participate in this course.

The fee is $100 per participant. This fee includes manual, instruction, course materials, and certification costs. To sign up, contact the front desk of the Recreation and Wellness Center at
