Deanna Gabrielson was awarded an M.A. in English from North Carolina State University in 2007. She teaches undergraduate and general education courses in professional and academic writing, as well as the Success Academy. Ms. Gabrielson prioritizes the value of critical thinking and analysis, clear written communication, and social awareness in the classroom. Her research interests include the social implications of contemporary literature by marginal, disenfranchised populations; gender identity and psychology; and the utilization of virtual world platforms in education.
