  • Ph.D., Texas A&M University

Profile

Dr. Daniel Betti has taught in several subfields at a number of universities and colleges stretching from Texas to Pennsylvania. His dissertation, "Platonic Cosmopolitanism," draws from the dialogues of Plato a critique of contemporary cosmopolitan/global political theory and a vision of political community as the harmony of virtue. Dr. Betti has also written a brief pamphlet on the Electoral College. That misunderstood institution is in need of reform so that it can fulfill its proper function in our federal democratic republic, or so I argue. At Morehead State University, you can find Dr. Betti teaching courses in American government, Constitutional Law, and Comparative Politics or hiking along the trails beyond Eagle Lake.
