Bio

Steve Chen was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.  Before teaching in higher education, Dr. Steve Chen was a basketball coach for a few professional teams in Taiwan.  He studied and worked at UCLA as a student manager and Cal State Fullerton as a GA. After the Chinese Basketball Alliance experienced an indefinite lockout, he began to study for his doctoral degree at the United States Sports Academy.  During the course of his tenure at Morehead State University, Steve has published many peer-review journal articles, research studies, abstracts and conference proceeding.  He actively presents with students and colleagues at local, state, regional and state-level conferences.
Steve says what he enjoys most about teaching is developing a working relationship and friendship with students, sharing ideas and witnessing students completing their degree and successfully getting their jobs.  In his spare time, he enjoys exercising, drawing, listening to music, attending sporting events, and crunching data.
