Programs in MSU’s Department of Foundational and Graduate Studies in Education (FGSE) will connect you with opportunities for professional growth and career advancement in adult and higher education, curriculum development, counseling, teaching and training. Our programs also serve teachers seeking a rank change, master’s or education specialist degree, educators interested in becoming technology leaders and those interested in pursuing or furthering their career in education administration.
You will explore the latest trends in education models and behavior patterns, in addition to technology and leadership techniques. We will prepare you to assume leadership roles, create and implement educational policies and improve learning and understanding in a variety of roles at educational institutions and organizations.
FGSE faculty members have a long tradition of excellence in teaching, service and research. This tradition spans local, state, regional, national and international venues with regards to informing policy, practice, instructional design, instructional delivery and research. We embrace the theme "a light to and from the mountains," recognizing that the knowledge we share is enriched by the knowledge, experiences and traditions of the students we serve.
