The Department of Mathematics offers a variety of degrees and degree options that let you tailor your education to suit your interests. Our dedicated faculty members have a wealth of professional experience and expertise who are committed to your success in the classroom and beyond. Our small class sizes ensure you'll receive personal, one-on-one attention from your professors, and we offer in-department tutoring and other learning resources to help you reach your academic goals and strengthen specific skills.

You’ll also have the chance to gain valuable research skills through MSU’s Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program. You can work side-by-side with professors conducting academic research as early as your freshman year and can present your findings at MSU's annual Celebration of Student Scholarship and at state, regional and national conferences.

Interested in a degree in mathematics or a math minor? Complete our online interest form and we'll answer your questions and send you information.
