Bio
Vivian Flora Cyrus is a professor of mathematics at Morehead State University. Cyrus graduated from MSU with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science in 1986. After teaching high school mathematics in Florida for a few years, she returned to Kentucky and earned a master's degree in mathematics at Eastern Kentucky University, where she taught for 3 years, and a Ph. D. in mathematics from the University of Kentucky. She has been a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics at MSU since 1994 and enjoys teaching a wide variety of mathematics courses. Cyrus's favorite aspect of teaching is getting to know the students and helping them gain an appreciation for mathematics.
