Degrees, Licensures and Certifications: Doctorate of Education with a specialization in Teacher Leadership from Walden University; Master of Science in Nursing from Bellarmine University; Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Minor in Corrections from Morehead State University; Associate Degree in Nursing from Morehead State University.
Research Interests: Student retention, online learning, cultural competency, and the use of service learning in the educational arena.

 

Bio

Dr. Kim Clevenger began her nursing career in long-term care as a MDS coordinator and was later appointed director of nursing for a nursing and rehabilitation center. She then joined an area medical center and worked on medical/surgical units and home health. Clevenger brings 17 years of clinical expertise into the classroom from her experience in geriatrics, long-term care, medical-surgical, and community health nursing. She also writes for a variety of nursing textbook publishers.
