Star Theater
The Space Science Center’s Star Theater at Morehead State University, a state-of-the-art digital planetarium serving the surrounding area of Eastern Kentucky. The planetarium offers public shows on selected Saturdays from September to June on a first-come first served basis. Typically, a planetarium show, offered as a matinee, includes a special feature from our extensive program library as well as a tour of the night sky. We will also be offering laser shows on selected Saturday evenings from September to June.  In addition, from time to time the star theater will also offer public domain science fiction movie nights or sponsor outdoor viewing of the night sky with telescopes, known as ‘star parties’.  The Star Theater is also available for use during the week and evenings by school and community groups by reservation. See the calendar for the current show schedule.

The star theater is about to undergo an upgrade, to be completed before September, which will result in even better production values for features and night sky shows, as well as greater selection of features.

**The Star Theater is closed during MSU's winter break and spring break
