STATEMENTS OF INTEREST

The following members of Staff Congress have been accepted nominations to run for Staff Congress leadership as follows:

Chair, Shana Savard-Hogge

It has been my privilege to be the Chair of Staff Congress over the past year. During my time as Chair, I have worked to build relationships and to create a more productive and satisfying work environment at Morehead State University. There is still much work to be done to improve workloads, compensation, and benefits. I would appreciate the opportunity to continue the positive steps forward that were occurring before COVID-19 precautions were issued.
Please vote to elect me as Chair of Staff Congress. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to continuing my service to MSU.
Sincerely,
Shana Savard-Hogge

Vice-Chair, Laura Rucker

Staff Congress representatives,
Thank you for considering me for a second year of service as Vice-Chair of Staff congress. Serving as Secretary- Treasurer from 2017-2019 and as a representative since 2016, I would like to push forward in the best way I know how to represent our staff on the Morehead State University campus. Shared governance and the advocacy of our fellow employees are of utmost importance to my service. As I begin my 18th year as an MSU employee, I look forward to learning even more about how campus works, how to support each other, and figuring out what we can improve together.
Sincerely,
Laura Rucker

Secretary-Treasurer, Risa Boyd

Secretary-Treasurer, Risa Boyd
My name is Risa Boyd and I am honored to have been nominated for the position of Staff Congress Secretary for the 2020-2021 year.
I am a fairly new face to Staff Congress, as I just joined January 2019, but I am not new around campus. I have been employed as staff with MSU for over 13 years.  For the past year, I have enjoyed representing my area and would like to further help on Staff Congress by becoming an officer. I believe my job experiences here on campus will have prepared me to do a great job for you as Staff Congress Secretary. If given the opportunity, I will strive to complete these tasks in an efficient and timely manner and work my hardest to make sure that staff are getting the information and help that they need. I am excited to move forward and work with Staff Congress at a new level. Thank you for this opportunity and your consideration!
