First year student orientation continues online

In recognition of these challenging times and to keep all our future Eagles safe, Morehead State University is offering our Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) sessions online.

Over the past two months, MSU SOAR sessions have taken place online, answering a variety of questions from prospective students and their families while providing valuable information in the safest way possible.

“MSU will continue to be flexible and work to accommodate student needs during these unusual times. We look forward to having our new students join the Eagle family in the fall,” said Russ Mast, vice president for student affairs.

The SOAR online experience includes:

  • Pre-recorded videos to watch the week of the scheduled online SOAR session.
  • A virtual campus tour.
  • Live Q & A on Facebook Live.
  • A brief quiz on content from the videos.

Fall class schedules will be released for participants on Friday of the scheduled online SOAR week.

The next session is scheduled for:

  • July 13-17, attend Facebook Live at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 13.

Admitted students for Fall 2020 should sign up at www.moreheadstate.edu/soar. Once registration is complete, they will be emailed additional details.

Through several initiatives designed to help students and families during these unprecedented times, MSU is demonstrating its Commitment to the Commonwealth. We are proud to announce that we are freezing tuition and fees at this year’s rates for the upcoming academic year.
